Kupes Young Women’s Network hosted its second annual Conference 2017 at Intercontinental Lusaka under the theme “WHY AM I HERE – Unlocking Your Personal Journey.”
On Saturday 23 September 2017, 320 eager young women from Lusaka, Kitwe and Solwezi attended the Kupes Conference, which falls under the Leadership and Motivation seminars at the Network and targets women aged 17 to 30 from all walks of life. The conference tackled issues that the young woman is facing today in this diverse and competitive world such as learning, relationships, entrepreneurship/career, mental strength, spirituality and personal branding. Tickets were sold out a week before the conference, which clearly demonstrated the need and demand for conversations such as these.
The Guest of Honour was renowned Zambian author and former Chairperson of the National Arts Council of Zambia, Ms Mulenga Kapwepwe, who was accompanied by a very astute panel of speakers: Sonny Zulu (Zambia), Caroline Marsh (England), Rev. Themba Khumalo (South Africa), Rose Sibisi (Zambia), Wezi Njovu (South Africa), Bridget Kambobe (Zambia).
