A combination of cold or dry weather, central heating and air-conditioning can wreak chaos on your skin’s natural glow.
Your skin may feel tight and dry, sensitive, or even too oily as the season changes. Here are four things you can do at the comfort of your own home to help bring that ‘wow!’ factor to your skin:
- Polish: Use a pinch of ground brown rice mixed with a drop each of almond and essential lavender oil and gently massage on to the face. Rinse with warm water and wipe with a damp face cloth.
- Steam: Add a few drops of lemon and lavender oil to a large bowl of boiling water and cover your head with a towel to inhale the rising steam (be careful not to burn your skin). Wet a face cloth with cold water, dab on the face and neck and gently massage your skin.
- Feed: Ensure your diet is rich in Vitamin C foods such as oranges, leafy greens and take fish oil at least once a week.
- Mobilise: After applying a moisturiser, stretch your neck, lips and cheeks to help release tension from the jaw, neck and shoulder muscles and restore your skin’s firmness.
