The champagne flowed as guests paraded their style at the 17th annual Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo in Franschoek, Cape Town.
The Masters Polo at the Val De Vie estate was everything a girl needed for a chilled outing. Upon arrival we were greeted with Veuve Cliquot brut champagne and delicious canapés, and waiters with champagne bottles and flutes could be spotted all over the VVIP area. Media personalities, businessmen and women, influencers and A-List celebrities such as Bonang Matheba, Jessica Nkosi, Basetsana Khumalo and Somizi were dressed for the Cruise Collection theme as they descended on the event. Needless to say, pouts and selfies were the order of the day.
Nomzamo Mbatha, SA’s talented actress and face of Neutrogena was the MC. The Cape Town weather seemed to have gotten the memo about this elite event, and guests were able to show off their fashionable attire. As the day progressed and the match (which commenced at 15h00) reached half time, guests were given the opportunity to go onto the field to stomp on the divots. This turned into a mini photo shoot as guests took turns posing next to the huge, helium-inflated Veuve Clicquot yellow balloons on the field.
While the polo match drew to an end, the champagne kept flowing! Guests indulged in delicious New York cheesecakes and other dessert delicacies as they enjoyed the festivities, including the after party. Carol Bouwer scooped the award for best dressed woman on the day, with Alino Balenda winning best dressed man.
