Some people call it multitasking, but we call it being productive. Check out the following 10 ideas:

  1. Read and reply to your emails

It is sometimes impossible to find a quiet moment to check your private emails, so use this time to catch up on emails that need quick replies. And organise your PC’s desktop while you at it.

  1. Manicure and pedicure

You don’t need to wait for the weekend to visit your nearest nail bar to fix a chipped nail. Get out your home nail kit and work on a better mani or pedi while you have an excuse not to move.

  1. Write or tick your to-do list

Check what is still on your to-do list and schedule a time to do it.

  1. Reflect on the day

Have you wronged anyone and need to apologise? Did you make someone happy and are proud of yourself? Were you productive? Jot down some ideas on how to make positive changes in your life.

  1. Read the newspaper/magazine

Catch up on some current affairs and know what is happening around you. You can read the actual newspaper or magazine, or check out their app.

  1. Exercise

Squats, jumping jacks, push-ups don’t require equipment, so get moving while you watch your favourite soapie or movie.

  1. Clean the lounge

If you’re always busy during the week and can’t afford a helper, this is the perfect time to neaten and clean get your place.

  1. Learn a new recipe for dinner

Page through your stack of cooking books for something to impress your guests at your next dinner party.

  1. Organise your wardrobe

Take the clothes that have been hiding in the laundry basket for more than a week now (yes, we see them!) and get folding.

  1. Eat

Eating and watching TV go together like water and the beach – what’s not to enjoy?
