The Russian Twist is an exercise workout for your abdominal muscles and not some form of a cultural dance lesson, as I originally thought. LOL!
You don’t really want to know how I actually attempted to do the Russian Twist at first, until I saw my trainer looking at me in a weird way. I was so embarrased! This exercise is not for the faint-hearted; in fact, tummy exercises are never easy but no pain no gain, right? The Russian Twist targets your upper torso and is a great workout for those who participate in such as boxing, tennis, swimming , hockey and golf. Then again, the exercise is also easier if you are said athlete because your core is already stronger than average!
