The world is getting crazier and if you’re not careful, you can easily get caught up in the chaos and feel more stressed than usual.
We’re not implying that you shouldn’t stay current, but tuning into world events can be exhausting. Remember that what you see is not a reflection of the whole world and there are still peaceful places and wonderful people out there.
Five ways to focus on the positive despite the chaos you observe:
- Unclutter your life
Be it physical or emotional; release the things (and people) you don’t want or need in your life anymore.
- Live in the present
You might have goals that you’ve set for yourself and have already envisioned your life after acquiring them, but don’t forget to embrace the present moment.
- Take care of yourself
You need to take extreme care of yourself and don’t be apologetic about it! Pamper yourself for working hard; go to a beauty spa, a movie or do dinner for one.
- Learn how to balance your work and life
Ensure there’s a centre point in your life; practise centering and restoring balance daily to create a sense of security.
- Understand the difference between response and reaction
This will help you live a stress-free life. It is inevitable for a person to respond or ignore a situation because at the end of the day we’re humans, but it is possible to pause and think about how easily you can tackle something without harming others.
