If you expereince nail breakage, chipping and flaking every now and then, you may be abusing them. Show your nails some love by learning how you can take better care of them.
- Don’t use your nails as tools. Things like picking your teeth, scratching sticky labels or opening soda cans are not meant to be done by your nails. Use the proper tools for that and protect your nails.
- Don’t try to grow your nails if they feel weak or soft, or they break easily. Keep them short until they’re strong enough to grow again.
- Apply cuticle oil on your nails at least once a day and massage them to increase the blood circulation.
- Remember to use acetone-free nail polish remover to avoid uncontrolled dehydration.
