According to Fit Stream, “’the ‘bridge’ is a highly underrated bodyweight exercise that builds high levels of strength and flexibility throughout the body, but particularly in the back and spine”. If you want to strengthen your butt along with the back of your upper legs (or hamstrings), the bridge is an excellent exercise for you. 

The Benefits Of The Bridge:

  1. You don’t need equipment; you can do it wherever you like, as long as you are able to lie down on a flat surface.
  2. It firms up your glutes and while your hips are extending, your core stabilisation improves. This is useful in preventing lower back pain.
  3. You can challenge yourself more without adding any equipment onto the exercise.
